The Asia-Pacific Producers’ Network (APN) is a group of more than eighty
leading screen producers, primarily from China, Hong Kong, Japan,
Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and New Zealand. Formed in 2005 with the aim of
encouraging co–productions, collaboration and joint projects, it is an
organisation made up of powerful producers, studios and distributors all
interested in getting business done, including at its annual symposium.

The 7th national Aotearoa Digital Arts symposium 'Energetics and Informatics' will be held in Whanganui over the weekend of December 10-12, 2010. The symposium will include exhibitions at the Sarjeant Gallery and the Federal Gallery, a screening programme of outdoor projections, workshops, and public events around the river and city. We invite all ADA members, members of the broader arts community, and all other interested parties to attend and participate.
This international conference is dedicated to bringing together the diverse aspects of the creative industries in an open forum for interdisciplinary collaboration and networking. Jim Simon, assistant managing editor of the Seattle Times and leader of his newspaper's team that won a Pulitzer Prize this year, has joined the keynote speakers for the Media, Investigative Journalism and Technology 2010 conference @ AUT University on December 4/5. He has taught investigative journalism in Indonesia, Philippines and East Timor.

The University of Florence, with participation of PlugandWear, is
running the high profile course ‘Wearable Technology – a hands on
analysis of electronics in innovative textile and prototype
development’ from Nov. 13 to Nov. 15 in Florence – Italy.

University of Florence’s course is organized in two modules, the base
module consisting of 10 hours of theory in electronic components like
LED, capacitors, resistors, switches IC and batteries, components most
suitable for first technology integration into clothing.
