About Motion Analysis
Motion Analysis Corporation is the world's largest manufacturer of high performance optical instrumentation systems that test and measure the movement of objects. Their systems combine proprietary hardware, software and electro-optical techniques with standard computer and camera hardware. These systems evaluate motion in a wide variety of applications: animation production, movement analysis and industrial.
They work closely with renowned specialists and third-party software developers to create value-added application software targeted at very specific vertical markets. Motion Analysis Corporation then licenses, maintains, and markets the software with its hardware systems.
Motion Analysis is a California corporation formed in May of 1982 with principal executive offices located in Santa Rosa, California.
About Jeff Thingvold
Jeff Thingvold is Vice President of New Media for Motion Analysis Corporation. About the Presentation
Jeff will discuss the latest advancements in hardware and software from Motion Analysis. Sample projects from various markets will be presented to show the diverse applications which use Motion Analysis technology. Cortex is the main software product for Motion Analysis. It is an integrated environment that covers the entire motion data aquistion, analysis and application process for all types of use. Version 2 was released this year and contains many significant new features. The Raptor series of motion capture cameras are the most advanced in the industry. Their on-board processing provides the most accurate and robust data acquisition of any camera. They are used in applications that require extremely precise results while at the same time being capable of outdoor use, an industry first.
Example projects to be shown:
• Dragonfly capture
• Outdoor baseball and golf capture
• Industrial training and simulation
• Sid the Science Kid
